Launched in 2013, the ICAA Ideas Council brings together high‐profile art advocates, philanthropists, business entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders with representatives from the government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. Through annual conferences, focused conversations, and special workshops, these influencers have the opportunity to come into contact with cutting-edge artists, scholars, politicians, business leaders, and policy experts from Europe, the United States, and Latin America who represent a broad range of perspectives and cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, the group analyzes critical issues and explores creative, even innovative solutions, to current or endemic problems affecting the visual arts field in Latin America and the Latino arts community in the United States. It also facilitates alliances between individuals, foundations, and public sector entities throughout the region.
