The editorial categories are research topics that have guided researchers during the recovery phase and continue to be the impetus behind the Documents Project’s digital archive and the Critical Documents book series. Developed by the project’s Editorial Board, each of the teams analyzed this framework and adapted it to their local contexts in developing their research objectives and work plans during the Recovery Phase. This text describes in French a manifesto by the artists who were members of the Movimiento Madí [Madí Movement], in which they propose the idea of the “invención real” [actual invention]. This is a creation whose aesthetic corresponds as much to industrial civilization as to contemporary dialectical thought. This group, led by Gyula Kosice, likewise advocated an art that would subvert values in order to create others that would join all artistic disciplines, thus producing a great shock to reality. The catalog that contains this text announces the first Madí exhibition, held at the Instituto Francés de Estudios Superiores [French Institute for Higher Studies], Buenos Aires, from August 3–6, 1946.
