Synopsis

This article analyzes the qualities of some of the artists who participated in the XVII Salón de Primavera [17th Spring Salon] (Buenos Aires, 1927); however, before it broaches the matter, the article reflects on the institutionalization of art in Argentina as well as its consequences.

Annotations

September 1926, with a contiguous enumeration, although using a different format and with the subtitle: Periódico Mensual. Bellas Artes y Polémica. [Monthly Journal. Fine Arts and Controversy.] In this second phase that lasted until September-October 1927, eleven issues were published.
