The editorial categories are research topics that have guided researchers during the recovery phase and continue to be the impetus behind the Documents Project’s digital archive and the Critical Documents book series. Developed by the project’s Editorial Board, each of the teams analyzed this framework and adapted it to their local contexts in developing their research objectives and work plans during the Recovery Phase. Ralph de Romero Rivera (Nueva York 1946-Humacao, PR 2000) estudió en el Departamento de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Una vez graduado, regresó a Nueva York para estudiar en Pratt Institute de 1967 a 1970. En 1970 se le otorgó la Beca Fullbright y se mudó a México donde trabajó por dos años. Cursó estudios en el Colorado Graphic Arts Center en Denver (1981) y en la Academia de la Grand Chaumiere entre 1993 y 1995, en París.
